Magic is a strong word for just melting glue. Heat can ruin some surfaces, like plastic that warps or wood that gets stained. It also just makes a huge mess sometimes, turning glue into a sticky goo that gets everywhere. Honestly, a good scraper and some patience often works better without the risk.
