That job at the old theater in Springfield taught me to always check for slope
We were laying carpet in the main hall, a huge room with a stage. I started at the back wall like normal, but after about 15 feet I noticed the seams were pulling apart. Turns out the floor had a serious slope toward the stage for drainage that nobody mentioned. Had to pull it all up and start from the center line instead. Anyone else run into a hidden floor angle that messed up your layout?
