That old installer told me to use a power stretcher on every room, and after 6 years I finally see why.
I blew out a seam on a $4,000 wool carpet in a living room in Austin last month because I used a knee kicker like I always did, and the homeowner's photos on Yelp proved him right - has anyone else had a job go bad from skipping the power stretcher?

A $4,000 carpet? I still say knee kickers work fine on most rooms.

Yeah @elliots49, I thought the same until a $3,000 job buckled on me, but a power stretcher saved my next big room.
