Built a tiny home studio in my garage and the appraisal came back $15K higher than I expected

I finished the 12x14 room with drywall and a mini split last spring, and the county assessor added way more value than the agent guessed, so has anyone else seen their DIY projects pay off bigger than the realtor predicted?
