Finally tried a buyers agent after doing 2 deals solo, big difference
I closed on two houses in Charlotte using just a real estate lawyer and the listing agent, saved maybe 2% total in commission but honestly the stress was brutal. For our third place in Plaza Midwood I caved and hired an agent, he caught that the sewer line had a root intrusion the inspection missed because he knew which plumbers in the area actually do camera work. He also got the seller to throw in a $3,500 credit for a new water heater after he talked to the other agent about their listing being overpriced for the street. Has anyone else switched from going it alone to using an agent in this market, and did you think the fee was worth what you got back?

Technically you saved less than 2% since lawyer fees and your time took away from that.
