I finally walked away from a closing after the buyer tried to renegotiate for $8,000 off

I was sitting at the title company off South Boulevard last Thursday, ready to sign. The buyer's agent slides over a new repair addendum asking for a full roof replacement even though we disclosed the age upfront. I told my agent no way, grabbed my keys, and walked out right then. The buyer called two hours later saying they'd take the house as-is, but I already had a backup offer at full price by Monday. Has anyone else had a last minute deal almost fall apart like that?

Why would you even consider going back after that?

You gotta look at the bigger picture though, people mess up and learn from their mistakes more than their successes. If the money was good and the job felt like home, maybe walking away from that just because of one bad stretch is giving up too easy. Sometimes the worst experiences teach you the most about what you really want.
