Just learned that Belmont has more apartment permits than Uptown right now

Was browsing the Charlotte Regional Data Trust site last night (nerdy, I know) and saw that Belmont has over 1,200 apartment units either approved or under construction as of this month. I figured Uptown would be leading by a huge margin but it's actually Belmont and then South End trailing close behind. The stat came from their Q2 housing report and it made me rethink where I've been focusing my search. Has anyone else noticed rents staying lower in Belmont compared to surrounding areas despite all this new supply?

Yeah, I noticed rents in Belmont haven't jumped as much as Uptown either, it's been a nice surprise.
