Just saved $8k on my Ballantyne closing by asking for a credit for the old roof
The inspector said it had 5 years left, so I got the seller to cover a new one. Anyone else had luck with repair credits lately?

Honestly, inspectors can't really give exact years left, they just estimate the condition.

Right? Like they have a crystal ball for dry rot. It's not like the house comes with an expiration date stamped on the foundation. What are they gonna do, send a reminder postcard in 2027? The confidence is honestly impressive.
