My agent told me to wait on buying and I'm SO glad I listened
Back in March, my realtor Sarah kept telling me to hold off even though I was ready to put in an offer on a house in NoDa. She said inventory was about to jump and prices might dip a little. I was honestly annoyed because I thought she was just trying to drag things out. But she was RIGHT - three weeks later, five new listings hit under $350k in that area. I ended up finding a place in Plaza Midwood for $342k that I like way more than what I was rushing into. Has anyone else had an agent give advice that felt wrong at first but totally paid off?

I mean, it's one anecdote, not sure it proves agents always know best. Could've just as easily backfired if prices went up instead.

lol my agent literally stopped me from putting an offer on a fixer upper that looked "cute" in photos but was basically held together with duct tape and hope. i was so mad at first like "you're just being lazy" but turns out the foundation was literally crumbling. so now i trust her even when she tells me the opposite of what i wanna hear. agents aren't always right but sometimes they save you from yourself and your bad taste in houses. i'm just glad my bad decision making worked out for someone else too haha.
