My house in Plaza Midwood just hit a tax value I never expected

I got my new county tax assessment in the mail yesterday and my property value jumped to $475,000, which is way more than I paid just five years ago. I mean, I knew things were going up, but seeing that number on paper was a real shock. Has anyone else in the older neighborhoods seen their tax bill jump this much lately?

Honestly, the fact that yours in NoDa did it too just proves it's a city-wide conspiracy. Tbh I'm starting to think they all get the same terrible memo from some secret landlord meeting. It's always the same lame excuse followed by the same huge rent hike. Ngl I'm just waiting for mine to try and charge extra for the view of the dumpster.
