My neighbor in NoDa said his property tax went up 22% this year

We were just chatting over the fence yesterday and he showed me the bill. He bought his place in 2020 for $425k, and the county's new valuation is wild. It made me rethink if I'm budgeting enough for my own taxes when I'm looking at houses in Plaza Midwood. How are you guys planning for these kinds of jumps?

Maybe he should have seen that coming with how fast prices are going up.

See it more like he got hit by a perfect storm, @the_amy. Wages didn't keep up and some costs just went crazy fast. Hard to plan for that.
