Question about how to handle multiple offers in Charlotte right now

I listed my 3 bedroom house in Plaza Midwood last Tuesday and got 7 offers by Friday. One was cash with no contingencies and another was a conventional loan that was 15k over asking. I ended up going with the cash offer because the buyer said they could close in 14 days. Has anyone else dealt with a situation where the highest offer wasn't the best one to take?

oh 100% that happens all the time in Charlotte right now. i swear people get blinded by the biggest number but don't think about the actual headache of a conventional loan falling through or an appraisal gap. cash offers with quick close just feel like a sure thing, even if it's a little less money up front. you made the right call honestly, waiting for a deal to close is stressful enough without adding extra risk.

Respectfully, cash offers sometimes hide problems the seller never finds out about.
