Shoutout to the new townhomes going up near the old Eastland Mall site
Drove by there yesterday and they're putting up a whole block of them, starting around $450k. Feels like they're trying to build a whole new neighborhood from scratch out of nothing. Anyone know if the city is putting in new parks or shops to go with it?

That's a lot of money for a brand new area... hope they actually build some life into it and not just houses. Feels like a big gamble without the parks or stores to make it a real place.

Honestly the bigger issue is the soil. That whole area was a landfill for decades, I'd be worried about what's under the ground and if those foundations are even safe. They're building on top of a ton of buried garbage.
