Gotta wonder if you checked what was underneath that old hardwood first. In my experience, a lot of those 1960s ranches have some kind of asbestos tile or mastic hiding under the original flooring. I'm not saying yours does, but it's worth a second look if you haven't already pulled up a board. LVP is great and all, but if you sealed in something nasty without testing, that's a whole other can of worms. Just something to keep in mind before you get too comfortable with the new floor.
