Talked to my neighbor about his house sale and it made me look at my own place differently
He just sold his ranch in Cotswold for $50k over asking after only two days... said he spent a weekend painting the kitchen cabinets and fixing the front door handle, stuff he'd put off for years. I always thought you needed a full kitchen reno to get that kind of interest. Now I'm looking at my own list of small fixes in Plaza Midwood and wondering if that's the real move. Anyone else get a wake-up call from a simple chat like that?

Fifty grand over asking in two days" is honestly kind of crazy to hear.

Maybe it's just me but fifty over asking usually means the place was priced low on purpose to start a bidding war. That's just how the market works in some neighborhoods, not really some crazy new trend. Still wild to see those numbers on paper though.
