That older couple who bought the fixer upper on Parkwood taught me something
Met this couple back in 2018 when I was doing a drain snake job at their new place on Parkwood Ave. The husband was like 'we got this house for 120k under market because the bathroom was caving in.' They put in 6 months of weekend work themselves. When I came back to fix a toilet flange the wife showed me all these before and after photos on her phone. She said 'people kept telling us to wait for something move-in ready but we knew this spot had good bones.' That stuck with me because they were right. The neighborhood blew up 2 years later and they probably tripled their money. Has anyone else seen people chase the perfect house and miss out on a diamond in the rough?

Actually it was 2017 when that house sold... I remember because my cousin looked at it.
