Wasted $800 on a home inspection that missed everything wrong with this house in Charlotte
Bought my first house near Plaza Midwood back in March. Paid $500 for a full inspection plus an extra $300 for a sewer scope. The guy wrote up a 40 page report but missed that the HVAC was from 2002 and the sewer line had a 30 foot belly. Found out 2 weeks after moving in when the AC died on a 95 degree day and then water backed up in the basement. Cost me $6k to fix both. Shoulda asked my realtor for a recommendation instead of picking some random off Google. Anyone else get burned by a bad inspector around here?
