Wrote off Plaza Midwood for 4 months because of one loud neighbor, then looked at 3 houses in one weekend and changed my mind
My wife and I swore off Plaza Midwood back in March after touring a duplex off Central where the downstairs guy had his TV going so loud we could hear it through the floor. We spent the next 4 months only looking at Huntersville and Matthews, and honestly we were about to give up on finding anything under $480k. Last weekend our agent talked us into seeing 3 places in one afternoon, all on quiet side streets off Commonwealth and Pecan, and every single one was dead silent. Turns out we were judging a whole neighborhood by one bad block. The third house had a screened porch, a new roof from 2022, and was listed at $465k. We put in an offer Sunday night. Has anyone else almost skipped a neighborhood because of one bad tour, and did you end up regretting the spot you picked instead?
