Can we talk about how long it took me to fix a broken induction cooktop?
Honestly, I spent 3 hours reading forums and watching videos to fix my induction cooktop after a circuit board went bad. The repair shop quoted me $450, but I did it myself for $85 in parts. The worst part was tracking down the right capacitor at an electronics store across town. Took me two full weekends to figure out the soldering. Has anyone else dealt with these modern cooktops dying after just 4 years?

Four years and it craps out? That's a scam. $450 quote is criminal for a cap and some solder work. Good on you for hunting that part down, most people would just toss the whole thing. These companies build them to break, plain and simple. My last gas stove ran for 20 years with zero issues.

Totally agree with you @barbaragarcia. My washing machine died at the 4 year mark too. The repair guy said the control board was shot and wanted $350. I found a used one on eBay for $60 and swapped it myself in 20 minutes. These companies know exactly how long these parts last and plan around it.
