Regular at my line finally told me what she really thought of my food
Tbh I've been at this little brunch spot in Denver for about 8 months now. This older lady comes in every Sunday, orders the same eggs benedict, never says much. Last week she waved me over and said 'honey, your hollandaise finally tastes like it's from a real kitchen, not a packet.' She had been eating it for 6 weeks straight without complaining. That one comment hit harder than any review or tip. Has anyone else had a quiet regular suddenly open up after months?
