Bought a $200 chimney camera that barely works indoors

Fell for one of those fancy endoscope cameras on Amazon last month. Cost me $200 and the picture quality is so bad I can barely tell soot from brick when I'm inside a flue. The LED lights are so dim they might as well be candles. Has anyone else wasted cash on inspection gear that just collects dust now?

Did you try adjusting the brightness on your phone screen? I had the same issue with mine until I realized the app's exposure setting was turned way down from the factory.
