Hot take: I saw a chimney in a museum and it changed how I look at our work.

I was at the history museum in St. Louis last weekend, and they had a whole display on 19th-century homes. They had an original cast iron stove with its flue pipe still attached. The pipe was only about 4 inches in diameter, and the whole setup was so cramped and dark. It really hit me how much easier and safer our tools make the job now compared to back then. Has anyone else seen an old chimney setup that made you appreciate modern gear?

My buddy had a tiny space like that in his old apartment. He spent a whole Sunday trying to clean the inside and ended up with his arm stuck halfway in for like 20 minutes. He said he had to use a makeup brush to reach the back corners. Have you ever tried cleaning something that tiny before?
