My extension ladder slipped on a vinyl roof, now I use a stabilizer bar
Last Tuesday in Denton, I leaned my ladder against a low-pitch vinyl roof and it slid sideways mid-sweep, nearly took me and the brush down with it. I grabbed a $40 roof hook stabilizer that same afternoon, and it grabbed the ridge like a handshake. Has anyone else had a close call with slick roofing materials, or do you still trust the old angle trick?

No way, it slid sideways like that? That's terrifying, I would've been on the ground before I even knew what happened lol.
