My old rotary drill gave up halfway through a crown repair yesterday

The chuck just seized tight on a 3/8 inch bit while I was prepping anchor holes. I was on a roof in Ann Arbor, and my backup was in the truck. I had to finish the job by hand with a star drill and a 4 pound hammer, which took an extra hour. Has anyone found a rotary hammer that holds up to daily masonry work?

Used to swear by that brand, honestly. But after it died mid-project, I'm looking at everything differently now.
