Update: a customer in Tulsa said my drop cloth looked like a crime scene, so I changed my whole setup
A woman in Tulsa watched me lay down my usual canvas tarp on her white carpet and said it looked like a crime scene waiting to happen. I did not take it well at the moment, but she was right. Now I use a HEPA vacuum with a brush attachment right at the firebox before I even pull the rods out. I also picked up a zip up containment bag for the rods so soot does not trail through the house. Has anyone else had a customer call out their cleanup game, and what did you change after?
