Brought my own solar charger to a county meeting, got laughed out of it
Last month in Des Moines, I showed up to the zoning board hearing with my 100 watt folding panel to prove we could run the new community center off solar. The chair literally said 'sir, this is a discussion about insulation codes' and everyone chuckled. I still think it was worth bringing, but now I'm wondering if there's a better way to get people to take home solar seriously. Has anyone actually gotten a local official to change their mind on renewables?
