I finally switched to a push mower after a neighbor's comment

A guy down the street saw me using my gas mower last spring. He just said, 'You know that thing puts out as much pollution in an hour as a car driving 40 miles, right?' I looked it up. He was right. Bought a basic manual push mower for my small yard in June. It's more work, but zero emissions. Anyone else make a switch like that after a simple fact check?

Honestly I never gave it much thought until I saw a chart comparing small engines to cars. My old leaf blower was probably as bad as the mower. It felt silly once I knew, like I was making a big deal out of my car's mileage while ignoring the gas can in my shed. I switched to a rake for leaves and it's fine, just takes a bit longer. What kind of push mower did you get?

I saw that chart too, but aren't those small engine stats a bit overblown? My old mower hardly used any gas.
