My city's new composting program is a total joke

Signed up for Portland's curbside composting back in March and I'm still waiting for my bin. Called them 4 times and got told it would be "6 to 8 weeks" every single time. Now I got a pile of food scraps attracting flies on my back porch. Anyone else dealing with this garbage rollout in their town?

Man, that is so frustrating! My friend Sarah signed up for the same program and had a similar mess. She finally got her bin after like four months and then they gave her the wrong size, the tiny one meant for apartments instead of the big one for houses. She ended up just dumping her scraps in a bucket in the freezer to stop the flies, which is weird but honestly kind of genius. Hope yours shows up before the pile takes over your whole porch!

Same crap happened to me. Took four months to get my bin and by then the whole thing felt pointless.
