My neighbor called me out for running my dryer at peak hours, so I switched to night drying
She said the grid gets slammed from 5-8 PM and every little bit counts. Now I set my dryer timer for 10 PM and my electric bill dropped $12 last month. Anyone else get feedback that made you tweak your routine?

My power company actually sends out texts now when it's peak hours. I saw something about how running big appliances during off peak can save like 10-15% on your bill. Thats a solid $12 drop though, might have to try that myself.

Oh geez @barnes.jamie, sounds like your power company is trying to become your new relationship partner with all those texts! $12 is $12 though, I'd probably set my washing machine to run at 3am like some kind of laundry gremlin.
