Plastic raised garden beds warped after one summer here in Phoenix

I spent around $250 on those dark plastic raised beds thinking they'd last... the walls buckled within 3 months from the heat. Anyone else switching to metal or wood for desert gardening?

Did you try putting some shade cloth over them or just figured they'd hold up on their own?

Nah, I just let them ride and figured they'd be fine. But you know how it is, everything seems to want to prove you wrong the moment you get comfortable. It's like that with most things in life, you set it up, think it's good, and then a heatwave or a storm comes along to remind you you're not as prepared as you thought. I'll definitely be grabbing some shade cloth for next year, learned my lesson the hard way for sure.
