Saw solar panels sitting in a field outside Phoenix, still in boxes after 8 months
Drove past this plot off the I-10 near Buckeye last week and the crates are just baking in the sun, never opened. The company that bought them went under before installation, and the landowner is stuck paying property tax on equipment that does nothing. Meanwhile my neighbor paid $14,000 for a system and got it running in 3 weeks. How do we let permit delays and bankruptcies kill projects that were already funded and built? Has anyone else seen stalled renewable setups in their area?

Drove past a stalled solar farm outside El Paso last winter and the panels were still wrapped in plastic with tumbleweeds piled against the pallets. Same story, the developer got tangled up in a property line dispute and just walked away. I spent 6 months waiting on a permit for a simple roof setup while these big projects sit there doing NOTHING. Its just crazy how fast a funded project can rot when nobody has a reason to finish it.
