Wasted $300 on a fancy compost tumbler that barely breaks down anything

I bought this expensive dual-chamber tumbler thinking it'd make composting fast and easy, but after 4 months all I got was a stinky pile of half-rotted scraps. Has anyone found a cheap bin that actually works without babysitting it?

The wire mesh bin from Home Depot worked way better for me. Just threw everything in, kept it moist, and it broke down way faster than that expensive tumbler ever did. Less work too honestly.

My friend tried that cheap tumbler from a garage sale and all it did was fling rotten eggshells everywhere, total mess.
