Flood Coolant vs Mist, I'm done switching back

Ran a job in San Jose last week with a mist system and burned through 3 inserts on 4140 before lunch. Swapped to flood at 68 psi and the same program held all day on one set. Mist is fine for short runs but if you're pushing feed rates past 0.008 IPR, just plumb the flood lines. Anyone else have a coolant setup that made a night and day difference on tool life?

Did you check the coolant pH after the swap?
