Hardmilling vs. conventional trochoidal paths on tool steel - not even close

Spent 3 days fighting chatter with trochoidal on a D2 die block, switched to hardmilling with a 1/2" necked endmill at 45 HRC and cut cycle time by 40%. Anyone else find hardmilling saves your tooling budget on hardened stuff?

Bet the chatter was from tool stickout or speeds though.

Right? The "tool stickout" thing hits home. It's wild how it's the same pattern everywhere, not just in the shop. Like, at the gym, if my elbow sticks out too much on a bench press, everything shakes and I get less power. It's just leverage going wrong. Same with trying to use a long screwdriver in a tight spot - you're fighting the wobble. Personally, I notice it most in home stuff, like when a wobbly table leg makes a drink vibrate off the edge. It's just basic physics of having too much length or not enough support. Gets me every time.
