My coolant filter went from clogged every 2 days to lasting 2 weeks
About a month ago I was constantly changing the paper filter on my old Haas VF2, it was a total pain. I started using a cheap magnet bar in the tank to catch the fine ferrous swarf before it hit the filter. The difference was crazy, the filter stays clean way longer now and my coolant looks better. Anyone else got a simple trick for keeping chips out of the system?

That magnet trick is a total game changer for old machines.

Yeah that magnet trick is so good. I used a cheap fridge magnet to hold screws in place while working on a 90s laptop hinge. Saved me from dropping like three tiny ones into the keyboard.
