Spindle load alarm at 2am after a fresh tool offset

Last Tuesday night I was running a 316 stainless job, 3/8 end mill, and the spindle load spiked to 118% out of nowhere. Turns out I fat-fingered the tool offset by 0.008 inch on the X axis, the machine screamed at me for a solid minute before I hit feed hold. I re-checked the part with a micrometer, had to scrap 3 pieces worth about $240 total, but at least the holder didn't break. Anyone else ever catch a stupid offset typo after the alarm goes off, or is it just me?
