Warning: burned $340 on a hydraulic holder for one run of parts, and the finish was worse
Picked up a used hydraulic tool holder on a whim to run a batch of 500 aluminum brackets at our shop in Rockford, thinking the extra rigidity would clean up the chatter. Turns out my old collet chuck was never the problem, it was my feed and speed, and the holder just hid the real issue for 3 weeks while I chased my tail. If anyone in here runs small-lot aluminum work, I need to know what holder setup actually pays for itself before I throw more cash at it.
