Choosing between Python and JavaScript for my first project was harder than I thought

I wanted to build a basic website for my mom's small bakery, and everyone online said to pick one language to start. I was stuck between Python with a framework or just plain JavaScript. I went with JavaScript because I could see the changes right in the browser, which felt more real. It worked out okay, but I wonder if learning the basics of Python first would have been smarter for understanding logic. What do you think is the better first language for a total beginner?

I mean, you can learn logic in either one really.

But the real question, @riley956, is which one teaches you to spot bad logic in the wild.

But does actually PRACTICING logic in a philosophy class vs a math class feel different when you're trying to spot a flawed argument your buddy makes at the bar? I've taken both and the philosophy ones made me really think about WHY something was bad logic, not just that the numbers didn't add up. Which one stuck with you more when you left the classroom?
