Finally figured out why my Python loops kept breaking after 3 tries
I kept getting index errors and it drove me nuts for like 2 days. Turns out I was modifying a list while iterating over it, which is apparently a classic rookie move. Once I switched to making a copy first, everything clicked and my script ran clean. Has anyone else hit this wall with lists, or was it just me being extra dense?

Made the same mistake when I first started messing with lists and it cost me way more than 2 days. What really helped me was getting in the habit of skipping the copy altogether and just building a brand new list with a list comprehension, way less to keep track of. Something like new_list = [x for x in old_list if whatever] instead of trying to remove stuff from the old one as you go. That pattern saved me so many headaches once it clicked, especially when you need to filter things out. You aren't dense at all, this one trips up basically everyone at least once.
