Guy at a Denver meetup told me to stop watching tutorials and just break stuff
I was at a beginner coding meetup in Denver last month and this guy who'd been at it for 10 years said the fastest way he learned was by deliberately breaking his own code and reading the error messages instead of pausing a video every 30 seconds. I tried it that week with a little Python to-do list, and sure enough I actually remember what an IndexError means now. Curious if anyone else learned better by just messing things up rather than following step by step?
