I bought a $300 online course on 'advanced Python' before I even knew basic loops
Saw an ad promising to make me a pro in 30 days, so I signed up. The first lesson jumped straight into decorators and generators without explaining functions. I got lost after 20 minutes and couldn't finish a single project. Ended up having to start over with a free beginner tutorial anyway. Anyone else fall for a course that was way over their head?

That "pro in 30 days" promise is always a red flag. Real skills take consistent practice, not magic bullets. Starting over with the basics was the smart move.

Ugh, I did the exact same thing with a data science course. They were throwing around terms like "random forest" in the intro module and I hadn't even learned how to import pandas properly. Totally agree with @xena_taylor64, those fast promises are just traps. I felt so dumb staring at code that made zero sense. Wasted a whole weekend before I gave up and went back to the free stuff on YouTube. Why do they make these courses for people who already know the stuff?
