I spent $120 on a 'complete beginner' coding course that was basically just a guy reading Wikipedia pages out loud

Wait, isn't that just a scam? I mean, a real beginner course should have you actually doing stuff, not just listening. You gotta write code yourself to learn it. Maybe it's just me, but paying that much for someone to read to you feels wrong. There's so many free videos that are way better than that. You should try to get your money back if you can.

Ugh, that's the worst. My buddy had the same thing happen with a video editing course. He paid like ninety bucks for a series of videos that were just a guy describing what the buttons in the software do, without ever showing how to make a real edit. He felt totally ripped off and just gave up. You're right, you need to actually do the thing to learn it. I hope you can get a refund, because that sounds like the same kind of junk.

No offense but ninety bucks for a guy just pointing at buttons without actually editing anything? That's wild, I'd be furious too. Hope your buddy got his money back because that's basically theft.
