Question about learning to code without a plan

For my first six months, I just followed random tutorials on YouTube, jumping from Python to JavaScript with no real goal. I ended up with a folder of half-finished projects and felt totally lost. About three months ago, I started using a free course on freeCodeCamp that gives you a clear path and small projects to build. The difference is huge because now I actually understand how the pieces fit together. Has anyone else made this switch from random learning to a structured course, and which one helped you the most?

Yeah, that aimless phase is the worst.

It's like we're all just waiting for the next big thing to happen (and it never really does).
