Serious question, saw a guy at the library in Toledo teaching Python to retirees with just a whiteboard
I was at the Toledo main library last Saturday killing time while my truck got an oil change nearby, and there was this guy with a whiteboard running a free Python class for like 8 people, most of them retired. He had them writing a little loop that printed their grandkids' names, and one lady actually got hers working on the third try and the whole room clapped. I've been messing with code on my phone at lunch for about 4 months now and I've been stuck on the same tutorial forever, but watching them just try stuff and break it and fix it made me feel kinda dumb for overthinking it. Has anyone else learned better from just breaking stuff on purpose instead of following a course step by step?
