Wasted $80 on a coding bootcamp preview course - total scam
I dropped $80 on a 'beginner friendly' bootcamp preview thinking it would teach me the basics of Python. Turns out it was just a 2 hour video of someone reading a manual with no exercises. I gave up and found free tutorials on YouTube that actually made me write code and learn way faster. Has anyone else gotten burned by these expensive intro courses?

YouTube is literally the GOAT for learning code, I wasted $120 on some 'official' course that was just a guy droning on with slides. The free stuff like freeCodeCamp or CS50 will have you building projects in a week, no joke. Check out The Odin Project too if you want something structured but actual free. The problem with those preview courses is they're just trying to upsell you the full $2000 package, not teach you anything.

Yeah the 'beginner friendly' part is usually a lie with those paid previews. Free YouTube tutorials are honestly way better for actual learning.
