Am I the only one who poured hot water straight onto the grounds for 6 months before someone corrected me?
My coworker watched me make a pour over in the Denver office kitchen last Tuesday and asked why I was dumping the kettle straight into the middle of the bed instead of the filter edge, and now I'm wondering how many other people quietly learned their method from a bad YouTube video.

Oof, that middle dump is a rookie move. Water goes in the middle and you just crater the bed every time. Live and learn I guess.
