Had to pick between a cheap blade grinder or saving for a burr grinder for my morning coffee.

My old grinder broke last month and I was stuck. I had $25 to spend right then or wait two weeks for my next paycheck to get a decent $80 burr grinder. I went with the cheap blade one from the store down the street. Big mistake. The grind was so uneven, my pour-over tasted bitter and weak at the same time. I lasted three days before I returned it and just used pre-ground. Finally got the burr grinder yesterday and my first cup this morning was a total game changer. Anyone have a good budget burr grinder they'd recommend under $100?

Oh man, that blade grinder struggle is too real. My first one turned my beans into a weird mix of dust and boulders, made coffee that tasted like regret. Finally caved and got a basic manual burr grinder, takes forever but the difference is night and day.

What grinder did you end up with? I still use my hand grinder sometimes, it's a workout but worth it.

You're a stronger person than me, faith_perez. My arm gets tired just thinking about that much grinding.
