Late afternoon brew showed me what I was missing...

I drank coffee just in the morning... but having it later let me really taste it.

Ha, my taste buds are basically comatose until noon anyway. By afternoon they're finally online, just in time for me to ruin dinner. LauraT26 might be onto something with that morning fog thing, because my morning coffee just tastes like hot regret. Maybe my buds are still asleep and that's why I can stomach it.

Seriously? Morning fog messes with all your senses, so that first bitter cup just cuts through it better.
