TIL that roasting coffee at home actually saves you about $8 per pound compared to buying bags from the local shop

I was crunching numbers after my last batch of green beans from Sweet Maria's and realized I'm spending nearly half of what I used to, but has anyone else found their own roasting setup pays for itself faster than they expected?

Yeah but my first few batches tasted like burnt popcorn so the savings took a while to kick in.
