Am I the only one who can't trust online reviews for local groups anymore?
I was looking for a good woodworking club here in Columbus about 3 weeks ago, and every single spot I checked had a 4.8 or higher on Google. I showed up to one with 60 great reviews and 9 people sitting in a church basement arguing about a table saw for an hour, no project, no plan, nothing. So now I just ask the guy at the hardware store on Saturdays, and he pointed me to a group that meets twice a month and actually builds stuff. How do you all filter out the fake or empty reviews when you're hunting for a group to join?
